Hamilton Jr. and MacDonald Motorsports score 2nd Consecutive Top 15 at Nashville
Nashville, Tn- Bobby Hamilton Jr. making his 2nd start for MacDonald Motorsports came home with a 14th place finish in Saturday Nights Federated Auto Parts 300 at the Nashville Super Speedway in Lebanon, Tennessee.
“We had a really good car all night,” Hamilton Jr. stated. “The crew made some real positive changes which helped me get the car to turn through the center of the corner which helped us overcome the tight condition we fought with through the transition of day to night,” Hamilton Jr. continued.
As the green flag waved in the Federated Auto Parts 300, Hamilton Jr. found himself moving up from his 21st starting position. After the race started transitioning from day to night, Hamilton Jr. reported to the David Ingram led crew that the car was tight center off. After making track bar changes and taking out a spring rubber, the #81 car came to life flying by cars reaching as high as 11th during the race. When all was settled, the MacDonald Motorsports team ended the night with their 2nd consecutive Top 15 finish.
“This team is awesome, to go out and improve on the finish last week really says a lot and I am so very grateful to be working with this group of guys who are the most dedicated group in the garage,” crew chief David Ingram stated.
Next weekend, the MacDonald Motorsports team heads to the Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky for the Meijer 300. “We hope to carry along the momentum from the past 2 weeks and translate that into a Top 10 finish,” team owner Randy MacDonald said. Fans can catch the #81 car flying towards the front beginning at 8:00 pm on ESPN2.
