Sean Murphy Scores a Top 20

August 24, 2009

In his third start for the #81 team, Sean Murphy finished 20th in the Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

In a night filled with excitement and wrecked racecars, Murphy maintained an unscathed car throughout the race.

“The toughest thing about Bristol is survival,” said Murphy. “Everything happens quickly, and as soon as you see a wreck, you’re in it.”

The team was happy with both their performance and good fortune.

“The performance was good.  The Nationwide series is probably the most competitive series I’ve raced in,” said Murphy.  “I’m just happy to finish 20th, and keep all the fenders on the car.  We would have liked to get a few more positions. However, we wanted to finish the race, and that’s what we did.”

The #81 team will race this weekend in the NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal Canada on Sunday August 30, at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
